Lamborghini has made a pretty good business of producing limited edition versions of its supercars. The recently shown Lamborghini Fenomeno is a good example of this. Just 30 units of the Revuelto-based machine will be made, which is 29 more than the Lamborghini Pregunta Concept. The one-of machine featured here will soon go under the hammer, meaning a private individual will own the rarest Lamborghini ever made.
Not only is the Pregunta an incredible piece of supercar history, being able to offer this unique concept fresh from its time on display in the Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata, further enhances its desirability. We are thrilled to offer this unique Lamborghini to collectors at our Zoute Concours Auction, and look forward to welcoming collectors in person, on the telephone and online for what we expect to be some very exciting bidding

Bespoke Carbon Suit
The Lamborghini Pregunta Concept was penned by Marc Deschamps, whose impressive portfolio includes the Lamborghini Jalpa. Deschamps was commissioned by French coachbuilder Carrosserie Heuliez to design a car that took its inspiration from the French Dassault Rafale fighter jet. The car has a radical appearance that includes massive side intakes, wraparound glass like a fighter jet canopy. In addition, the doors also take inspiration from a fighter jet canopy. The new body was formed entirely from carbon-fibre that was painted in the same colour as its stylistic inspiration.

The same theme was carried into the cabin along with a hint of F1 influence thrown in for good measure. Aviation-style seats were trimmed in blue Alcantara. High-tech fibre-optic lighting and rear-view cameras were a sign of things to come in the industry. Furthermore, a Formula One-derived Magneti Marelli digital instrument cluster sat ahead of the driver.

V12 Power
This one-off creation was based on the Lamborghini Diablo of the time. The donor car’s 5,7-litre V12 was tuned to deliver just shy of 400 kW along with 605 N.m of torque. It was fitted with a Quicksilver exhaust system to breathe a little freer. A five-speed manual transmission directed power to the rear wheels. Performance was quick for the time. The 0-100 km/h sprint took a reported 3,9 seconds and flat out the Pregunta would achieve 337 km/h.
