McLaren to auction three racecars before any of them has even turned a wheel in anger. This is completely unprecedented in the world of racing, where cars are usually sold long after they are retired. The first to go under the hammer will be Lando Norris’s or Oscar Piastri’s 2026 F1 car. The second is the 2026 Indy 500 racer. The third, and final is the 2027 World Endurance Championship (WEC) machine. The car’s will auctioned on December 5 at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

This auction is an extraordinary opportunity to own a piece of racing history and bid for a car that has competed on track before its official launch. The Triple Crown is a huge part of our heritage and we are determined to claim it once again as we prepare for our 2027 entry into the World Endurance Championship. Triple Crown Winners

These three cars are tasked with brining McLaren the rare Triple Crown of motorsport. The Triple Crown is taking victory at the Monaco F1 GP, Indy 500 and the 24 Hour of Le Mans. To date, McLaren is only team to have clinched the prestigious achievement. It won the Monaco Grand Prix in 1984 with Alain Prost, the Indy 500 in 1976 with Johnny Rutherford, and the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1995 with JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya.
