It’s not a new stunt, car manufacturers have towed planes before to show how much torque their cars make. One of more spectacular examples to date must be this Toyota Tundra towing a Space Shuttle.

Many manufacturers have attempted this trick, but not a one has done so with an all-electric car. Enter Tesla with its Model X P100D.

The firm hitched its all-wheel drive, all-electric model to a Qantas-owned Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Melbourne Airport and towed it far enough to set a new world record. The video is at the bottom of this post.
Second stunt
This isn’t the first time Qantas and Tesla have partnered for a marketing stunt. A few years ago the Australian airline raced a Boeing 737 against a Tesla Model S, watch that video by clicking here.
