Sorta like watching the credits roll in a Marvel movie, you know there’s gotta be something more coming. We’ve seen Pagani do it, Lamborghini do it and now Bugatti is doing the same. Say hello to one last Chiron. This one is called the Bugatti FKP Hommage and it was made to honour the car that came before, the Veyron, and the man who had the vision to create it Ferdinand Karl Piëch, hence the FKP. The previous last version was the Bugatti Chiron L’Ultime.

Prof Dr Ferdinand Karl Piëch was a man who saw the impossible not as a roadblock but as a challenge. His vision for Bugatti was absolute: 1 000 horsepower, 400 km/h top speed, all-wheel drive, and refined enough to arrive at the opera in a tuxedo or a ball gown. The F.K.P. Hommage celebrates this uncompromising pursuit of excellence, combining the timeless proportions of the original Veyron with two decades of engineering evolution

A New Look

The Bugatti FKP Hommage has been subtly reshaped to resemble the Veyron. The car shown has restyled bodywork meant to resemble the original Veyron with modern touches. Immediate signs are the slimmer headlights and quad taillamps. In addition there is a horseshoe grille that is machined from a solid block of aluminium. The colour scheme is a tow-tone livery, where the crimson mimics that of the Veyron but the black is exposed carbon-fibre. In addition the custom alloys are similar to the Veyron as well.

The interior, too, has been backdated. The FKP Hommage uses brown interior upholstery. The dashboard is inspired by the Veyron, as is the circular steering wheel. Bugatti has also integrated a 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon timepiece into the dashboard.

The W16 Lives

The FKP Hommage features the most powerful iteration of Bugatti’s W16 powertrain, similar to that first seen in the Chiron Super Sport. This engine larger turbochargers, enhanced intercoolers, upgraded cooling systems, and a reinforced gearbox capable of handling the increased torque. As a result it produces 1 176 kW (1 600 hp) and 1 600 N.m of torque. Power, as always, is delivered to all four wheels via a dual-clutch transmission.
